Presto enables the manufacturers of plastic and packaging industries for performing the compressive strength of paperboard testing with the help of B C tester. This test determines the shape change, stacking capability of the carton, beehive crates, paper tanks, paper cases and box compression strength. The paperboard boxes are generally thicker than paper and easy to cut and form. The packaging industries use the paperboard to fulfill the different packaging requirements and needs.

Paperboard is a paper-based material and ideal for packaging, however, at the time of transportation, the paperboard packaging can get damaged due to overload and could cause harm to the products stored inside. The compressive strength measurement of a box is based on storage techniques (e.g., stacking issue), size and dimensions of the box, and material properties.

During compressive strength of paperboard testing, the sample of the box is positioned between two parallel plates and then the maximum pressure is applied until it gets deformed. Testing the compression strength of paperboard boxes is essential with the prior testing procedures because paperboard should possess enough compression strength so that they do not get damaged when stacked one above the other during transit. Presto offers the user-friendly and compact instrument provided with an instruction manual, electric wiring diagram and calibration certificate traceable to NABL approved labs.
