The Drop Tester (As per IS:7028 Pt IV) is a useful equipment for ascertaining the transport worthiness of corrugated & solid fiber boxes and shipping containers. It has provision with angular drop arrangement to help accurately ascertain the transport worthiness of the package from all angles.

After the manufacturing of the packaging products, another crucial aspect before the product reaches the customer is the transportation of the product from one place to the doorstep of the consumer or retailers. The products are generally packed into corrugated boxes for such shipment processes.
However, the ratio of skilled labor is minimal hence the scope of dropping these corrugated boxes filled with sensitive, perishable & expensive items is very high. The drop tester evaluates the durability of these corrugated boxes to withstand the impacts caused by such drops by simulating these drops by their free-falling mechanisms. The instrument enables the operator to conduct the test from 3 different angles and achieve highly accurate test results.
