The Presto Hot Air Oven is a unique testing facility designed to detect changes in the physical properties of materials and determine how long they will work at high temperatures. It is used to mimic hot and cold temperatures - and ensure the even circulation of hot air within its interior.

It can tackle the prevalent issue of uneven heat application by using its double-walled chamber with mild steel that has been properly powder coated on the exterior and hefty stainless steel on the inside. Moreover, it has a special T/P controller for preventing the overshooting of temperature at any time. The hot air oven is trustworthy enough to conduct tests on the materials as it assures you to maintain the heat effectively. The highly accurate assessment makes it your go-to calibration tool.

The hot air oven is a tool used generally for heat deformation, and heat resistance. It operates on the principles of forced air circulation and thermal convection - the hot air oven principle. Hence it becomes your one-stop shop for a timed and regulated calibration.

Presto Hot Air Oven uses :

  1. With a maximum temperature range of 250 degrees celsius, and another model with that of 300 degrees celsius; it is employed to ascertain the thermal stability and resistance of materials, including textiles, plastic, metal, and paper. This makes it easier to determine whether they are appropriate for a given industrial use.

  1. Be it pharmaceuticals, food industry, agriculture or textiles; this device is assured to help in sterilization, and mainly the general heating stability, this laboratory hot air oven will leave no complaints on your customers’ feedback. Plus, with its grey and blue finish, it is aesthetically pleasing!

  1. Being resistant to corrosion owing to the chrome/zinc plating, it will serve you till long - and the impartial mineral glass wool within its walls ensures insulation as well.

  1. Components, materials, and products are tested for their performance in hostile settings using environmental chambers that are outfitted with hot air ovens to imitate temperature extremes.

  1. Hot air ovens are used by scientists and researchers to investigate the thermal behaviour of materials, carry out experiments of accelerated aging, and create new goods that need to be thermally stable.

Benefits of using a hot air oven:

  1. An instruction handbook, an electric wiring schematic, and a calibration certificate traceable to NABL-approved labs are included with the device.

  1. Comes fully equipped with a programmable digital temperature indicator/controller and a hot air import blower. On the right side of the main body, there is a separate control panel with room for all the indicators, making maintenance and accessibility simple. aesthetically pleasing for extended use and comfort.

  1. Sample storage is given in the form of two stainless steel trays.

  1. Enhanced safety and output due to this device is assured. It is also equipped with a quick airflow due to a fan that was imported from Germany - which is used to maintain the temperature inside the chamber.

  1. 999 hours of memory back-up and computerised prima series can be made available for improvement.

Steps to calibrate your hot air oven:

1. Preparation:

  • Go through the Manual: Apply the recommended calibrating instructions to your own model.

  • Put together equipment: A reference thermometer, a data logger, and calibrated temperature sensors (thermocouples or RTDs) should be ready.

2. Mapping Temperature:

  • Temperature Uniformity: To get through the normal operation conditions, identify the temperature variations in different areas of it, as well as different shelves.

3. Calibration (externally) :

  • Preparation: The oven should be empty and clean.

  • Setup: In the different temperature zones identified during mapping, place the thermocouples.

  • Heat-up: Set up the oven temperature at say, 100 degrees celsius to onset stability.

  • Comparison: After the experiment, compare the oven’s readings with those of the calibrated sensors. This should be done at regular periods to prevent discrepancy.

  • Adjustment: In case of glaring discrepancy, adjust the oven’s settings according to the provided instructions. This will ensure that the future readings align with the correct scientific readings, and there is even distribution of heat to all zones within some limit of error.

4. Documenting:

  • Record Keeping: Keeping records for further exploration and reference is crucial. It gives an idea regarding the efficiency of the device as well - about the timing, temperature and other significant data which enhances the oven’s working ultimately.

  • Calibration Certificate: If necessary, obtain a calibration certificate from an accredited calibration laboratory in accordance with quality control systems or regulatory standards.

5. Regular Maintenance:

  • Take out time: Only regular and properly conducted calibration will ensure the maintenance of the device and its continued well-being. The frequency can be set according to the usage of the product as well as the condition.

  • Visual Inspection: Any unsettling signs of wear and tear must be reported or scheduled for repair.

KEY FEATURES OF HOT AIR OVEN:

  1. ) Safety-

The protection from overtemperature, or exceeding limits of temperatures results in prevention of damage of the entire device and promotes long-term use. Oven doors with safety interlocks reduce heat loss and guarantee operator safety by preventing unintentional opening while the oven is operating.

2) User-friendly controls-

Digital control panels allow the manipulation and easy monitoring of temperature and related parameters. Data logging controls make it easy to save this information for the future.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ON THE HOT AIR OVEN-

Question 1) How to keep the Presto Hot Air Oven clean?

Answer: Follow these steps:

  1. Clean the exterior surface to get rid of dust and residue after multiple uses.

  2. Replace the temperature/heat sensors when felt inadequate.

  3. Inspecting the user controls and safety preconditions from time to time.

  4. Following the instruction manual clearly and establishing regular service intervals.

Question 2) Can it be used for sensitive materials?

Answer: Yes, by carefully manipulating the temperature and related conditions (controls), we can use this for some sensitive materials precisely - depending on the particular material’s sensitivity and properties.
